“Hart Denton, who is usually recognized for his roles on hit TV series Riverdale and 13 Reasons Why, is digging into a different artistic well and his first love, music. Inspired by angst icons Nirvana he has joined up with Rob Raco and Panic! At The Disco bassist Nicole Row to create an exciting new sound.” -American Songwriter

New York, NY – July 15, 2020 – Hart Denton, best known for his role as mysterious bad boy Chic Cooper on the hit series Riverdale, is excited to start the next chapter of his career as he pursues his first love, music. Recorded in his home garage to help achieve a compressed, intimate sound, “Inside Me,” tells the fictional story of a pregnant woman abandoned by her companion, but still feeling his presence in the form of her unborn child. PRESS HERE to listen to the song, and PRESS HERE to read the first piece from American Songwriter.

Hart also surprised fans by releasing live videos of the songs – with his Riverdale castmate Rob Raco on drums and Panic! at the Disco bassist Nicole Row – PRESS HERE to watch via Jam In The Van.

A distant relative of the country music legend Roy Acuff, the Conway, Arkansas native was raised on weekend trips Memphis to visit the home of his parents’ idol, Elvis Presley. He fell in love walking along Beale Street listening to the blues emanating from the clubs, convinced music was his destiny.

While Hart acknowledges that landing the part in Riverdale changed his life, he is excited to dive back into his first love of music. “I get to transcend and go someplace else whenever I play or record. I’ve been doing this my whole life, but before this, it’s been just for me,” he says. “Now I’m ready to share my songs with everybody. If it means I can travel the world, and tour 365 days a year, that would be my dream. Music saved my life, and I hope my songs can do the same for someone else.”

Stay tuned for more music and announcements in the coming weeks!
