It was a week of historic firsts for Bravo! Vail. First performances in the Bravo! Vail Music Box presented by the Sturm Family and ANB Bank. First episode of Inside the Music filmed and shared online. First Little Listeners program held on Zoom. First live-streamed performance. First concert to an empty amphitheater.
Because world events changed the way we live, finding creative and innovate versions of our Festival events is paramount to preserving shared experiences. We are elevating the quality of recordings and live streaming to bring the music to you this summer.

Chamber Music from Vail

Inside the Music
Presented by US Bank

This not-to-be-missed virtual series premiered this week with a touching, heartfelt conversation and performance by Artistic Director Anne-Marie McDermott. If you did not see it, click below to watch the visually and musically stunning short film, shot entirely on the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater stage.

Thursday Evening Chamber Concerts

The sounds of Mozart and Brahms filled the Amphitheater Thursday night, with only the cameras to listen. It was enchanting. We plan to have a live audience enjoying the music next week. For those tuning in at home, we will send the live stream link by 6PM MDT that evening to give you the Bravo! Vail experience you love.

Immersive Experiences
Presented by Slifer Smith & Frampton
July 27 – 29, 2020

Tickets are still available for this riveting, three-part deep dive into Beethoven’s Complete Sonatas for Piano and Violin performed in their entirety by Anne-Marie McDermott and Ida Kavafian. These 11AM events begin with a lecture, followed by the performance and Q & A with the artists. This will also be live streamed to enjoy from afar.

Education & Engagement Programs

Bravo! Vail Music Box Community Concerts
Presented by the Sturm Family and ANB Bank

Our musicians are spreading joy throughout the Vail Valley with our custom-built mobile performance stage, the Bravo! Vail Music Box presented by the Sturm Family and ANB Bank.  Several intimate groups gathered this week for a number of short, outdoor community concerts. Apply below today to host your own concert. Let us bring the music to you!

Little Listeners in Your Living Room
Presented by First Western Trust

One of our Little Listeners in Your Living Room participants on Wednesday was enthralled with pianists Anne-Marie McDermott and Amy Yang talking about dynamics in music. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in the fun Wednesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 29.  RSVP to [email protected]  to get the Zoom link.

Donate to Education & Engagement Programs

Bravo! Vail’s Education & Engagement Programs depend on your support. Under normal circumstances, our annual Gala raises significant funds for our Education & Engagement efforts. With the cancellation of the year’s event, we must replace these needed dollars for music education and enrichment in other ways.
Programs like the After-School Piano and Violin Program, the renamed Little Listeners in Your Living Room, and Inside the Music have continued virtually during the pandemic and are thriving thanks to the generosity of caring people committed to music education and enrichment for our community.
