“I’m honored to be included in the DSCVR Artists To Watch 2021,” says Templeman. “As an independent artist, it’s so awesome to be acknowledged by such a great group of people who are into what I’m just creating in my bedroom!”
“Muti-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer Alfie Templeman is on the rise and we’ve no doubt that 2021 is going to be a big year for the ambitious young performer. Alfie’s sound seamlessly swings from breezy dream-pop to upbeat guitar funk and at just 17 years old, there’s no telling where his sound (or his career) can go. 2020 has been a tough year for emerging artists, particularly in the independent community, but you wouldn’t guess that from the way Alfie’s star has risen this year, Chess Club and AWAL are working with Alfie to bring us some much needed up-beat energy. These sessions are brilliant, make sure you check out the world-exclusive of Alfie’s new track ‘Wait I Lied’, which won’t be available anywhere else until next year!” – Alex Morley, Music & Talent Manager
“We’re very proud to announce our DSCVR Artists to Watch list for 2021, now in its 7th year. This is so much more than just a list for us; capturing performances from these artists and providing video content for fans to engage with on a global scale.” says JP Evangelista, SVP of Content, Programming & Marketing, “The health of our team and artists alike is of utmost importance to Vevo. We were pleased to be able to shoot and deliver these performances with proper safety protocols in place, despite obvious challenges. With a lack of touring or being able to perform in front of a live audience, it’s more important than ever that Vevo can promote and market video content that will provide music fans with some must-see performances from some of the hottest new acts.”
Vevo has a long history of helping emerging artists break through to new and wider audiences. Past alumni of Vevo’s DSCVR ‘Artists To Watch’ series including Billie Eilish, Alessia Cara, Little Simz, SlowThai and Lewis Capaldi.

About Alfie Templeman:
Alfie Templeman was born in a household blessed with musical talent – his sister is a pianist and plays trumpet, his dad is a zealous collector of guitars with more than twenty instruments scattered around at home – and it was inevitable that the curious young Alfie would ask for drum lessons aged just seven years old, having taken to rock and indie music avidly. His latest release, Happiness In Liquid Form, follows Alfie Templeman’s trio of rapturously received EPs – all of which introduced the world to a prodigiously talented young musician, songwriter, producer and performer. The Bedfordshire-born teen has enjoyed a meteoric rise and cemented his place as one of U.K. indie’s brightest lights with support from Radio 1 (a C-List playlist add, multiple Tunes of the Week, Indie House Party co-host, Maida Vale session, BBC Introducing Track of the Week), BBC Radio 6 Music (airplay from Steve Lamacq, Shaun Keaveny, Chris Hawkins, and a live session during Independent Venue Week), Radio X (Record Of The Week, Phone Cover, 2020 Great X-Pectations), Beats 1, and more.
